Catering

A catering service with buffet service is provided to all accredited participants during the event, as well as beverages and snacks throughout the days of play.

Special dietary requirements need to be specified by participants.

Location

Breakfasts will be available at accommodations.

Throughout the competition, meals will be served to all participants in the indoor Coetzenburg Centre on the Tournament grounds.

The Dining area will have controlled access for teams.

The Player hotels, Lord Charles and Protea, have restaurants for any food needs over and above what is offered by the organisers, at the own cost.
There are also a multitude of restaurants in Stellenbosch that offer global menus. They can either be visited, or guests can make use of UberEats to deliver.

At Coetzenburg during the day, food and beverage trucks will be available to spectators.

Nutrition

Nutritional considerations include: Protein 300g, Raw Starch 180g, Vegetables 200g, raw (2 veg) Salad 80g, and Desserts 120g.

Meal plans are tailored to athletes’ nutritional needs, including:

  • Pre-game and post-game meal options
  • All cutlery and crockery that will be used are continental glassware and stainless steel.
  • Hydration and recovery snacks will be provided.
  • Vegetarian and dietary-specific meals will be available on request

Drinking Water at Venues

Water available throughout the competition period, and will be provided through water stations with coolers. This is to minimise the use of plastics and waste. Water bottles can be refilled at multiple stations around the competition grounds.

Bottled water will be supplied to team during play only.
